RECIPES | Lobster Stuffed Cannelloni with Classico Four Cheese Sauce

When I cook, I usually turn to pasta. It's not just because it's easy to prepare, but the recipe tend to have simple ingredients and never fail to impress the person eating it (I'm also not the best cook out there). My friends and I decided to cook Italian one night and decided to use one of my Classico sauces that I had - Classico di Parma Four Cheese  to make a lobster-stuffed cannelloni. Since my university days, living alone, I often turned to pre-made pasta sauces by  Classico . I loved that Classico offered a variety of not just tomato sauces but also cream sauces and pesto's to really change up any typical pasta dishes one can cook with. Of course, I would add different meats, veggies and herbs to elevate it.  Their Vodka Sauce used to be one of my go-to's! For this Lobster-Stuffed Cannelloni recipe, here's the list of ingredients you will need: - 1 Jar of Classico sauce of your choice - 2, medium sized lobsters - Ready-to-bake cannelloni shells - Ricotta...

FOR FUN | Quick & Easy St Hubert Poutine Bites for Appy Hour

If you ever wished for a snack that combines poutine and chicken tenders, we've got the answer for you: St Hubert Poutine Bites ! The quick and easy product is great for having people over as you can just pop them in the oven for 8 minutes and voila, they're ready! My usual go-to's are cheese and meat charcuterie along with some pickled sides to pair with a bottle of wine, beers or ciders. Having the poutine bites adds a little gluttony to the spread, don't you think? Crispy skin and a ooey-gooey center of gravy and cheese - you can't go wrong! Check out the spread I had this past Sunday afternoon, while catching up The Mindy Project: Do you have any ideas on how else we can enjoy these Poutine Bites?  We would love to hear, so let us know in the comments below! EVENT | Ford Canada's Farm-to-Car Dinner at Actinolite Restaurant

How much do you know about what goes into making a car? I for one, didn't know at all what kind of materials or ingredients are used in creating a vehicle of any sort except for the typical plastic, petroleum, etc. When I was invited to a dinner to learn about Ford Canada 's use of food by-products in their cars, I really had no idea what to expect. Food in cars? What?! After a wonderful dinner at Actinolite , I definitely left with my mind blown - the cars are really becoming greener and more environmentally friendly from the inside, and out. The evening took place at the aforementioned Actinolite Restaurant, located on Ossington Ave., just a few blocks North of Bloor St. The restaurant is ran by a very resourceful and passionate chef, Justin Cournoyer a nd his team, offering seasons, local and creative dishes.  You'll see what I mean by creative below. If you do get to meet him, you'll instantly feel his passion for creating dishes that are in season tying unexpected ...

RECIPES | Baked Chicken & Eggplant with roasted veggies with Hidden Valley®'s Greek Tzatziki

Who doesn't like Greek food? I'm a huge fan, especially of Tzatziki - I slather it on the meats, the potatoes, you name it. This past weekend, being in a "cooking-mood," I decided to make a Baked Chicken & Eggplant with roasted veggies to enjoy it with the newest flavour in the Hidden Valley dressing family, the Greek Tzatziki. Hidden Valley is known for their dressings and dips but their new Greek Tzatziki has got me so excited! Although it's packaged like dressing for salad, it's super versatile in that you can use it as a dip for other recipes such as the one here - Baked Chicken & Eggplant with roasted veggies. Other ideas? Use it as a dip for chicken or pork souvlaki, or as a spread for your pita sandwich, etc.  The dressing/dip is creamy and zesty. Compared to the other ranch dressings offered by Hidden Valley, it has a higher protein and lower fat, which is a nice - I don't have to feel guilty adding this dressing to my salads! I've fo...

One of Toronto's ritzy neighbourhoods, Yorkville wouldn't be the same without its popular luxury chocolat boutique, MoRoCo Chocolat .  Tucked away on Yorkville Ave., this whimsical spot not only offers amazing chocolate, but also has brunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and did I mention cocktails?  I've been to MoRoCo on several occasions this year, whether to pick up some macarons or meet up with a friend for brunch, since my last post on MoRoCo. This post in particular features their new cocktail and dinner menu items for the season that I was invited to preview two weeks ago. Most of my visits to MoRoCo is to pick up sweets and have brunch but now it looks like I may have to come here at night for their delicious cocktails: The Mad Man : Bourbon, bitters, cranberries, orange zest XO Delight: Patron XO cafe, frangelico, baileys, grand marnier, espresso, whipped cream Strawberry Rhubarb Seduction : presecco, aperol, strawverry, rhubarb, bitters MoRoCo Caesar : Vodka, clamato, ...
