One of Toronto's ritzy neighbourhoods, Yorkville wouldn't be the same without its popular luxury chocolat boutique, MoRoCo Chocolat .  Tucked away on Yorkville Ave., this whimsical spot not only offers amazing chocolate, but also has brunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and did I mention cocktails?  I've been to MoRoCo on several occasions this year, whether to pick up some macarons or meet up with a friend for brunch, since my last post on MoRoCo. This post in particular features their new cocktail and dinner menu items for the season that I was invited to preview two weeks ago. Most of my visits to MoRoCo is to pick up sweets and have brunch but now it looks like I may have to come here at night for their delicious cocktails: The Mad Man : Bourbon, bitters, cranberries, orange zest XO Delight: Patron XO cafe, frangelico, baileys, grand marnier, espresso, whipped cream Strawberry Rhubarb Seduction : presecco, aperol, strawverry, rhubarb, bitters MoRoCo Caesar : Vodka, clamato, ...

To be honest, when I first heard someone mention The Doctor's House in Kleinburg, I had no idea what they were talking about. Then someone mentioned a cute white building in a quaint neighbourhood and I became even more confused. It's a good thing we were invited to experience  XXI Chophouse  and I'll never look back.    After driving through some familiar territory... like where I had my high school prom (but no need to re-live that), we finally arrived at The Doctor's House,  which is far from what its name suggests. It's actually a first class event space located right in the heart of Kleinburg Village and as soon as we arrived, I could picture a beautiful wedding happening there.  Part of The Doctor's House  is the newly renovated XXI Chophouse,  which is chic, classy and sophisticated all rolled into one!  Among other food-loving bloggers, we tasted some of what XXI Chophouse has to offer and lets just say we were not disappointed!...

Just 6 weeks ago, Città opened in the up-and-coming neighbourhood of CityPlace between Spadina Ave. and Bathurst St. on Fort York Blvd.  Nestled on the main floor of one of the many highrise buildings, this may just become the community's favourite brunch spot on the weekends or a lunch and dinner spot on weeknights! Stepping into the new Southern Italian restaurant, you'll be greeted by an energetic atmosphere that is open but inviting. There are two wood-fire pizza ovens behind the pastries counter where you'll drool over the bombolini, cannoli, biscotti and muffins that are freshly baked in-house daily.  Also, you'll love the floor-to-ceiling windows take up a good chunk of the entire restaurant that provide natural light during brunch hour!   Città  is headed by Executive Chef, Ben Heaton, known for his British pub grub at The Grove previously.  This time around, he's serving up casual and comforting Italian fare that I really enjoyed.
